I’m a U.S. journalist currently in Thailand. As a writer, editor and researcher, I cover business (especially tech), public policy, travel and environmental matters. As a nitpicky editor, I do everything from proofreading to very heavy rewriting and reorganizing. I can update your website or guidebook, or wrestle your annual report, thesis or policy study into comprehensible English. You can be assured of error-free, first-rate, First World copy. I have edited books as well as many hundreds of academic papers by life scientists, social scientists and historians, usually in Chicago or APA style. I started out as a news copy editor, so I long ago committed the Associated Press Stylebook to memory: Ask me anything.
I’ve held staff jobs as a reporter, copy editor or editor in Bangkok, Beijing, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Washington, D.C. And I have a master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University’s Medill School.

I have read a great deal about the history of Asia and wish more editors were interested in travel articles with genuine history.
